Symphony in R Major. 2024

The new techniques developed through my glaze experiments extend in various directions and push the boundaries of traditional ceramics. They create an artistic ambiance that reflects newly discovered innovations. Through ongoing experimentation and the integration of new materials or material combinations, I continuously explore new properties of glazes and strive to produce novel works. In my creations, stability and lightness are harmoniously blended. A key aspect of this work is that the glaze was developed as an independent material. The piece is built upon a surface made entirely of glaze, achieving a seamless unity with the porcelain vessel's walls. The light refracted through the glaze surface creates a visual effect where the boundaries between inside and outside seem to dissolve.

Echoes of the Blue-and-White Waves. 2024

:porcelain, wheel throwing, Reduction at 1280°C

The work titled "Echoes of the Blue-and-White Waves" emerged from the harmony of blue and white porcelain, shaped on the potter's wheel to capture the natural movement during spinning. This artistic interpretation weaves the dynamism of nature into an elegant dance of colors and forms, captured within the fabric of the porcelain. The use of the traditional Yeonri-mun technique further emphasizes the depth and complexity of this representation.
