Material Evidence I : Symphony

Symphony investigates how glaze can construct space rather than simply occupy it.

Translucent glaze bodies interact with light, reflection, and shadow, creating changing spatial relationships as viewers move around the work. Individual elements remain physically independent while entering into visual dialogue with one another, producing moments of resonance, balance, and tension.

The work does not seek to compose a fixed image. Instead, it establishes conditions in which glaze, light, and space continuously transform one another. Transparency dissolves the boundaries between interior and exterior, object and surrounding space, allowing sculpture to exist as an evolving spatial experience.
